The website
seamcraft.dev is a static website. It uses no cookies, no analytics, no advertising and no third-party scripts, fonts or trackers, so you won’t see a cookie banner.
The site is hosted on GitHub Pages. As GitHub’s documentation states, when a GitHub Pages site is visited, GitHub logs and stores the visitor’s IP address for security purposes. We don’t receive or use those logs. GitHub handles them under the GitHub Privacy Statement.
The Seamcraft app
Seamcraft runs on your Windows computer and connects directly to Microsoft’s Fabric and Graph APIs. It doesn’t send us any information about you, your organization or your Fabric tenants.
- What it stores, and where. Sets, mappings, saved item definitions and backups, cached Fabric metadata, recent connections and logs are kept in a local folder under your Windows user profile. You can delete that folder at any time.
- No telemetry. Seamcraft collects no usage data, analytics or crash reports.
- Sign-in. You sign in to Microsoft directly, through Microsoft’s sign-in pages and libraries. We never see your password. Service principal client secrets are never saved; you enter them each time you connect.
- Logs. Seamcraft’s local logs record actions and errors to help you troubleshoot. They are designed not to contain secrets and stay on your computer unless you choose to send them to us.
- License checks. License keys are checked offline. Seamcraft does not contact us to check your license.
- Microsoft. Your use of Microsoft Fabric, Microsoft Entra ID and other Microsoft services is governed by your agreements with Microsoft and Microsoft’s privacy statement.
Purchases, licenses and support
Buying Pro. Orders are processed by our payment provider, which acts as merchant of record: it is the seller, collects payment and handles tax. Your card or bank details go to the payment provider and are never shared with us. The payment provider handles your information under its own privacy policy, which is linked at checkout. From the payment provider we receive your name, organization, email address, country, the plan bought and its dates.
We use that information to issue license keys, process renewals and cancellations, send messages about your subscription, provide support, and keep the business and tax records the law requires.
Contacting us. If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you include, such as logs or screenshots you choose to send. We use it only to answer you and to improve Seamcraft. Please remove anything sensitive from logs before sending them.
Marketing. We don’t send marketing email unless you ask to receive it, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
How we handle your information
Sharing. We don’t sell or rent personal information, and we don’t share it for advertising. We share it only with service providers who help us run the business (our payment provider, email provider and accountants), when the law requires it, or as part of a sale or merger of our business.
Retention. We keep customer and order records for as long as your license is active, and afterwards for as long as tax and accounting law requires, generally 7 years. We keep support emails for up to 2 years after the last message.
Security. We protect the information we hold with reasonable safeguards, including two-step verification on our business accounts. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure.
Your rights. Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your personal information, or to object to how we use it. Email us to make a request and we will respond within 30 days. We won’t treat you differently for using these rights.
Children. Seamcraft is a business tool and is not directed at children under 16. We don’t knowingly collect their information.
International users. We are based in the United States and process information there. If you are in another country, your information will be transferred to and handled in the United States.
Changes and contact
Changes. If we change how Seamcraft or seamcraft.dev handles personal information, for example by adding analytics or optional telemetry, we will update this policy and its date before the change takes effect. Material changes will be announced on seamcraft.dev and, for customers, by email.
